What’s a “Gig”?

A “gig” is a single volunteer shift. There is no recurring commitment - just one and done! We know that people are super busy and do not always have time for ongoing volunteering. That’s why we created GiveGig, a platform on which community members can volunteer on their own time.

Why “Gig”?

“Gig” gets its name from the “gig economy,” which is a system that consists of short-term job opportunities for people. Because GiveGig’s volunteer shifts are just short-term/temporary, “gig” is the perfect name.
